Hello everyone, I have an urgent need for travel expenses to attend a meeting to introduce a bill in Washington DC for adult changing tables in disability bathrooms. I am scheduled to meet with Congresswoman Betty McCollum and other legislative representatives on Friday, June 23, 2023 at 9:30 AM (CST) .  I need funds to travel with myself and 2 personal care assistants. We need $2,500.00 to cover airfare and hotel expenses.  The meeting will focus on the fact that I am a quadriplegic, and when I’m in public buildings, my care assistant has to change me on bathroom floors. I want to raise awareness of the urgent need for a pull-down table to be used as an adult changing station in family bathrooms for any person not able to sit on a toilet. Millions of adults’ wear briefs and require changing every few hours. Also, remaining in soiled clothing can lead to urinary tract infection, skin rashes or other medical conditions. I want to speak at legislative hearings to advocate for adult pull-down tables in airports, shopping malls, parks and highway rest-stops for differently-abled people to enjoy being away from home.
