My name is Yasin Albattniji, an architect from Gaza. I live with my family of 9 members under dire circumstances. For the past ten months, we have been living under the strain of an unending war, where killing, destruction, and famine have become our daily reality. The Israeli occupation destroyed our home completely, forcing us to leave and live without shelter. The destruction did not stop at our home; it also wiped out my architectural office, which I had established two years ago. This office was not just a job; it was a symbol of my ambitions to provide innovative architectural solutions and contribute to improving the built environment in our region.
The war has not only affected our daily lives but also impacted my academic ambitions. I had planned to pursue a master's degree in architecture, a dream that has been with me for a long time. Advanced studies would have allowed me to develop my skills and achieve greater accomplishments in my field. However, the current conditions have made this ambition difficult to achieve, increasing the need for your support to restore my professional and academic path.
The Children in Our Family:
This picture captures moments of the hard work done by the children in my family, who face daily challenges with courage and determination. In the image, you see my siblings transporting water, charging phones, and lighting fires, reflecting their willpower and dedication despite their young ages. The war we have endured has significantly affected their education and opportunities in life. They have been deprived of going to school and receiving basic education, which has greatly impacted their future. These children, who deal with life's burdens with big hearts, need our support to overcome difficulties and provide better opportunities for them.
Through your donations, we can offer them a more comfortable life, education that enhances their abilities, and care that allows them to grow in a supportive environment. Every contribution from you will change their lives and give them hope for a better tomorrow.
My Parents:
In this picture, I am with my parents, who have played the biggest role in shaping my character and supporting me every step of the way. During tough times, my family has been my source of strength and resilience. My mother and father, despite their old age and suffering from diabetes, have given me much love and care. Unfortunately, we are suffering from a lack of necessary medications and proper healthcare, in addition to insufficient food for them. These conditions make it challenging for us to meet their basic needs, adding to the daily struggles we face.
Through this campaign, I aim to improve our living conditions and provide the necessary healthcare and food for my parents and family in general, as well as to restore my dream of pursuing a master's degree and rebuilding my architectural office.
