I’m reaching out on behalf of my cousin Jeremy Kope, a strong and kind 25-year-old who has been courageously battling brain cancer.

He was first diagnosed with a brain tumor that was later confirmed to be cancerous. After undergoing radiation, the tumor shrank enough to enjoy a mostly normal life. For a while, things were looking up—he was working, caring for his beloved dog Wendy, and helping take care of his grandma.

Then, everything changed—fast.

The tumor returned aggressively. It began pressing on his brain stem and vocal cords, taking away most of his voice. He lost strength in his legs, going from a cane, to a walker, and now to a wheelchair. His arms have weakened to the point that he can’t lift them over his head. He needs full assistance with basic daily tasks—using the bathroom, getting dressed, and bathing. His eyesight is also deteriorating, and he now wears an eye patch to help his one good eye stay focused.

He recently lost his job due to his condition, and his independence has been stripped away almost overnight. It now takes two or three family members to help him with everyday tasks, which is physically and emotionally exhausting for him.

We are doing all we can, but he needs more help than we can give alone. A home health nurse would make a world of difference—but it comes at a cost he can’t afford. This fundraiser is to help cover the cost of: • Home health care support • Medical equipment • Treatments • Transportation to appointments and treatments.

No one expects something like this at 25. Watching someone you love suffer like this is devastating. We’re asking for any help—big or small—to make his life more manageable and to restore a little dignity during such a difficult time. Please share if you can’t donate.
