My name is Cynthia Rebeles, and I wanted to ask for some help.
My sister Noemi Hernandez has a child named Cecilia Solis, who is a special needs child (she is 13 yrs. old). Someone broke into her van last week and messed up all the wiring, ignition coil, and tore up the entire steering column. My sister cannot work as she has to care for her daughter and has 2 other children. Noemi does not have insurance on the van as she cannot afford it. The problem is the car seat for Cecilia was custom made and she has a custom made wheelchair as well. The good thing the van was not taken or we would be in trouble! This is the main concern; Cecilia has a scheduled surgery on 01/07/16 and has to be at the hospital admitted on 01/06/16. There is no way to get her there as she cannot ride a regular car and I have a small compact car which the wheelchair does not fit.
When Cecilia comes home, she will have a cast on and she will need a large car to fit in. At this point, we are upset and frustrated due to we don’t have the funds to fix the van or to get a ride to the hospital and other Dr. appts. My sister has a big heart and is always willing to help others in time of need. She is upset and does not know how she is going to deal with this issue. I am her older sister and I made sure to raise my brother and sisters to work hard to earn what they want. Unfortunately, for Noemi, Cecilia was born with special needs and cannot work. I have always been a support for her ever since our baby came into this world and we have always been there for each other. I made sure to let her know God blessed us with a beautiful Angel. I told Noemi God picked you to be her mother because if it was me I don’t know that I could be as strong as you!
My heart breaks that I cannot help her at this time. I too, am a single mother and have no funds to help her.
We are always helping others donating clothes, etc. when the help is needed not knowing that we would be in a situation like these ourselves. I don’t know where to seek for help and a friend recommended I email you and see if you can find us some help.
We are believers in God, and I told my sister don’t cry.... Hold on, your Blessing is coming. I don’t know why God allowed this to happen but He will get you out of this. My sister has no idea that I am writing you, and it would be a true blessing if she can get help on time for the surgery.
