Hello all! My name is Maxwell (Max for short) and I am a 24-year-old transgender man residing in South Philly.

For the last 10 months, I’ve finally achieved independence to live on my own with financial assistance from Valley Youth House. Unfortunately, by the end of next month, I will have to figure out rent and utilities on my own. I have onboarded for a couple of jobs, but doing them combined, or one or the other, may not be enough to pay my rent. Independence means a lot to me, and until I achieve a job with a higher pay rate, I will need lots of help to raise funds for the next few months so I can renew my lease and live comfortably until the next transition. Anything helps!

$1,195/month plus $7 for water fee

$14.95 for internet monthly

$50-80+ for electricity per service bill

$116-130 in transportation per month (I do not drive and rely on public transportation to get around).

$30-60+ monthly on Instacart grocery orders + occasional household necessities
