I’m making this in regards to my cousin and his fiancé’s puppy they got in February. this journey is very expensive, I can only imagine all the imaging, surgery and radiation. Any help is much appreciated
little back story—
We got Winnie in Feb she was 4 months old and by the end of the month she was not walking very well to the point where she wasn’t walking at all. We thought at first she got into something (black walnuts) and that she would get better but when her strength didn’t improve our vet had us bring her to the WSU neurologist who got her in very quick based on her symptoms. MRI showed a 2.5x1.5 cm tumor on her spinal cord just below her ribs which was removed April 16th and she started radiation June 1st for 20 days. Currently she is at home learning to use the muscles she does have, running with her wheelchair, and playing with her siblings. Winnie will continue to go to WSU once a month for the next 3-4 months to figure out what the next steps are which could include chemo or more radiation in the future if the tumor returns but for now she is home and living her best life!
