Julie is the heart and soul of the local cancer charity CANDU, and anyone who knows her knows how tirelessly she gives herself to help others. She has spent so much of her life supporting people through their hardest moments — and now it is our turn to support her.

Julie recently had a serious accident at home, which has left her with a broken back and many other issues. She is now facing a long stay in hospital and an even longer road to recovery. During this time, she will sadly have no income, while the everyday bills and costs of keeping her home continue. There will also be the costs incurred in her recovery and rehabilitation once she gets home.

I have started this fundraiser to help take some of the pressure and stress away from Julie and her wife, Vicky, as they face a very uncertain future. The last thing they should have to worry about right now is how to manage financially while Julie focuses on healing.

Any donation, no matter how small, would mean so much. It will help keep things going at home and give Julie and Vicky some breathing space during this incredibly difficult time.
