This summer, I will be serving as an Assistant Conductor for the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps.
The Bluecoats are a member of Drum Corps International, an organization of marching-band-style corps that tour from June-August and compete against one another. I will leave May 20, the morning after graduation, for Canton, Ohio, and I will tour until the DCI World Championships in August.
This opportunity to learn about music education and perform with other musicians is a once in a life time chance, and it comes at a significant monetary cost.
Through the kindness of the Vestavia Band, a large portion of the fees have been raised, but we still need help, and quickly!
