Our family has been recently devastated by the loss of our family member Ferdinand Berena, a God-fearing, caring, loving father of three children, and husband due to COVID. On top of his passing, his wife Sheila, 12-year-old son Chad, and father Arturo, have also been struggling through their own COVID diagnoses while dealing with the loss of Ferdinand.

In the Philippines, medication prices and treatment for COVID have spiked exponentially. Medical insurance is essentially non-existent, causing the Berena family's medical bills to skyrocket. As the main provider of the household, Ferdinand's loss has deeply impacted his family not only on an emotional level but also on a financial level. While we are blessed to have family and friends attempting to support Ferdinand’s family, we are still facing overwhelming expenses for the remaining sick family members.
