Transport and funeral of Claudia Janeth

My coworkers Juana Patino and Rosendo Escamilla are two of the kindest, most honest and hardworking people I’ve ever met. Friday August 12th, they lost their only daughter, Claudia Janeth Escamilla-who was only 23 years old- very unexpectedly to a sudden illness. They are from Guanajuato, Mexico and Juanita and Janeth came to the US only about 4 years ago to be with Rosendo, but now they are faced with the daunting task of burying their child and her wish and theirs was that she be buried in Guanajuato with the rest of her family.
The cost of transporting and repatriating the deceased will be between $10,000-$20,000. The average cost of burial and funeral services in Mexico is 40000 pesos-approximately $2,017. There also unpaid hospital bills and living expenses for Rosendo and Juana while they are going through these processes and unable to work.
As laborers at a nursery they don’t have the resources to accomplish all of this on their own. There is so little we can do to ease the pain of a mother and father who have lost their only child but I hope that if enough people pitch in and help we can at least ease the financial burden for them and make this process less difficult.
