Help Kimberly Ariciaga Fight for Her Recovery

On May 16th, Kimberly Ariciaga was supposed to walk across the stage and receive her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology—a moment she worked years to earn. Instead, she was rushed to the emergency room in critical condition. What should have been a day of celebration became the start of a medical emergency.

Kimberly developed a sudden and aggressive infection that quickly progressed into sepsis, a life-threatening condition that caused her organs to begin shutting down. Her kidneys failed, and her vitals became dangerously unstable. She was immediately admitted to the ICU.

To treat the infection, doctors placed a drain in her abdomen. Unfortunately, her condition worsened right after the procedure. Her body began to crash, and she had to undergo another procedure to install a jugular catheter so she could begin emergency dialysis. Though her vitals have now stabilized, her lab work still shows signs of serious infection, and her team of doctors is continuing to monitor her kidneys, blood, and vitals closely. As of June 1st, Kimberly is still hospitalized. Surgery remains a possibility, but doctors are trying to avoid it because of the added risk to her already fragile organs.

Through all of this, Kimberly remains the person so many know and love—bright, fun, caring, and passionate about everything she does. She has always gone out of her way to help others, whether through her studies, her friendships, or her role as a sister in Sigma Lambda Gamma. Her dream is to become a Marriage and Family Therapist, and she’s dedicated her life to supporting others through their most difficult moments.

Now, she’s facing one of her own—and she needs help.

Because she’s still in the hospital and recovering from multiple procedures, Kimberly has not been able to work and won’t be able to for some time. The costs of her hospital stay, treatments, and day-to-day living expenses are adding up quickly. What should have been a joyful step into her next chapter has become a fight for stability, strength, and survival.

We are asking for donations to help relieve the financial burden while Kimberly focuses on healing. Every dollar raised will go directly toward her medical bills, treatment, and basic living costs while she continues her recovery.
