Hello! My name is Rod and I'm raising funds for my beloved partner Kat, who has been battling cancer for nearly 5 years now. It's been a long run that has included various types of treatments and procedures... most of which have been helpful, but not helpful enough.

Unfortunately, we're approaching the end of our options here. There is one possibility we're looking at, but it requires an expensive experimental procedure only available outside of Canada (with the States looking like the only option currently).

Unfortunately, this option is not a cheap one. Since we don't live in the U.S. we'd have to pay for the surgery (and the necessary follow-ups) out of pocket... and this could easily pass the half million mark.

So, if it isn't obvious, this is primarily to help cover medical and related travel expenses... although some of it may also be used for other unexpected expenses related to treatment. Any amount at all helps and is greatly appreciated. As the saying goes, if we got $1 each from a million people, that's still a million dollars!
