My father inlaw came to visit for 2 weeks from Willacoochee Ga to Daegu, South Korea. While here on his 2nd day he woke up confused and unaware of his surroundings. At first my mother inlaw felt it was war related dreams (ptsd) etc. But when he stood up to pick up his luggage he fell and couldn't speak. At this point my mother inlaw ran to our room and we rushed him to the nearest hospital. They performed an MRI/CTScan and many other tests. The results show that he suffered from multiple strokes in his sleep. As a result of his hospital stay he has accrued a bill of atleast ₩6,500,000 which is roughly $6,500. And he will not be released until the bill is paid in full. However, the cost will continue to rise until he is released and the doctors are uncertain when that will be as he is yet to be moved from the stroke unit to a normal room. He currently cannot speak nor walk on his own and we are trying our best to keep his hopes up and spirits high to aid in his speedy recovery. He served 21 years and retired from the US Army and was on his first vacation visiting his grand babies Lennox 3 months, Sofia 2 years old and 5 year old Mia. Once he is fully recovered we hope to get him out of the hospital as soon as possible. Any support is much appreciated.
