Support Mark's Journey to Recovery
Donation protected
When one of our own is struggling, we can do two things: we can feel bad and hope for the best, or we can try to help. Mark didn't ask for this. And even though I no longer live down there, my connection to the South Florida music/arts community is strong. Mark has been a big part of that community for decades. He's an imperfect human, but I can say that about most of us. His support and dedication to The Dan Hosker Music Continuum since its inception has enriched both of our lives. His mouth is big, but his heart is ten times bigger.
I have seen firsthand the devastation mental health episodes can cause. They can be horrible and life-changing - but they are nothing to be ashamed of. You should all know that Mark is getting help and is moving forward - this is for practical things (food, shelter) that are needed immediately. Let's join together as a community and help someone many of us love get back on their feet.
Our friend Mark has consistently given to others without expecting anything in return, he may be described as altruistic and selfless. To him this behavior is intrinsically motivated. Mark has a strong sense of pride and avoids being a burden. What is apparent to those who know and love him is that it would be a burden NOT to help this creative, talented, magnetic individual get back to a place where he belongs.
Anything helps. Give what you can.
