Hurricane Melissa has left a trail of devastation across Jamaica, destroying homes and communities along her path. The extensive flooding has caused isolation from aid and support. As of 10/30/25, over two-thirds of the country is without power. People along the western and southwestern parts of Jamaica are among the worst affected. Many have sustained irreparable damage to their homes, leaving people without food, water, and shelter.
Shericka is doing everything she can from afar to help, but the need is immense. Her family urgently requires support to access necessities (food, water, clothing, and temporary shelter). They will need to rebuild their home from the ground up, all while surviving the aftermath of this disaster.
Your generosity can make an immediate difference. Every donation brings Shericka's family one step closer to safety and stability. Please consider donating or sharing to help them recover and rebuild after this heartbreaking disaster.
Message from Shericka:
"Hi guys, as you all know, my home country, Jamaica, has been hit by Hurricane Melissa and has been left with a trail of devastation. Unfortunately, my family has been greatly affected by the passing of Melissa. My childhood home has been destroyed, and what's left of it is unlivable. My family and I are left to pick up the pieces and try to rebuild. I am coming to my community for a helping hand. I know things are hard for everyone, but I'd greatly appreciate anything, big or small. I will be going back home as soon as it is safe to do so."
