Hi! My name is Kaia Daigle, and I am sixteen years old. I have been taking drama class since fifth grade. When I was eleven, I was in a production of “Crazy For You” at Arts Outreach's Summer Youth Community Theater. When I was thirteen, my group won fifth place at the Drama Teachers’ Association of Southern California competition in Los Angeles. In eighth grade I was in “Revenge of the Space Pandas” at Carmel Middle School. During my two years at Carmel High School, I have been in “Taming of the Shrew”, “Sherlock Holmes in the Ravens’ Manor”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Romeo and Juliet”, and “How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying”.

I have been selected to attend the National Student Leadership Conference (NSLC) on Theater at Fordham University, New York. This prestigious program selects outstanding high school students from around the world to participate based on academic excellence, extracurricular involvement, and demonstrated leadership potential. It is an honor to be invited to attend the NSLC, and I am extremely excited about this opportunity.

The cost for me to attend the conference will be $4,000. This includes the program, room and board, course materials, program activities, airplane tickets to the conference, and money for other incidental expenses. I have been working odd jobs to help pay for the program; but unfortunately I cannot afford the entire amount; therefore, I am asking for your assistance. $1,000 is due by February first, and the remaining balance is due by March first.
