Hi, my name is Kristy, and I’m organizing a fundraiser for my brother Brandon, a US Marine Veteran and an incredibly loved husband, son, brother, and friend.
On September 12, 2025, while on his annual lobstering trip in the Florida Keys doing what he loves, my brother Brandon suddenly experienced severe pain in his right groin and leg, followed by numbness and discoloration in his foot. His wife, Summer, rushed him to Baptist Health Fishermen’s Hospital in Marathon, FL, and upon arrival to the ER, his pain became unbearable and his foot was cold and without a pulse.
He was airlifted to Baptist Hospital in Miami, where doctors diagnosed him with an extensive blood clot and critical limb ischemia. Vascular surgeons made every effort to restore circulation—performing clot-dissolving procedures, fasciotomies, and even bypass surgery—but unfortunately, none were successful. On September 17, Brandon underwent a lower extremity amputation.
Brandon, our Marine, is one of the strongest (and stubborn!) people we know. But as he begins this next chapter, he will need extra support to adapt and rebuild his life. While Brandon and Summer would never ask for help themselves, we know they will be deeply grateful for the love and generosity of their family and friends.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Medical equipment and accessibility modifications for their home
• A high-quality prosthesis to restore mobility and independence to get Brandon back to all his favorite outdoor activities
Brandon has an incredible village surrounding him, and we are SO thankful for the love, encouragement, and prayers already being sent his way. Please continue to lift him up and, if you’re able, contribute to help lighten the load during this challenging time.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting Brandon and Summer. ❤️
