Chan Family Support

Eric was a member of the Quality department in Livermore and served most recently as its Senior Failure Analysis Engineer. He joined Topcon in 1995 as a firmware engineer, and part of the team to work on Topcon’s first major OEM project, a custom paving system for Cedar Rapids. Eric continued working in the paving arena on products such as GC-35 and 9144. Eric was also instrumental in the first GPS Proof of concept system, where Topcon’s many “Worlds First” innovations controlled a construction machine! It was Eric’s deep understanding of both products and the firmware behind it that led to his support of Topcon’s nascent efforts into the GNSS OEM Business!
