I’ve been with my husband Patrick Manning for 25 years. We met when I was 21 and I knew he was the one. He has been a wonderful husband and father of our 4 children and a hard worker his whole life until he could not work anymore due to the terrible disease he suffers from. He has multiple sclerosis which he was diagnosed 14 years ago and has been battling this terrible disease since. It has taken its toll on him and us as a family the last couple years when he could no longer work and his body began to break down and now he is losing his fight at the young age of 50 and is currently on hospice. This disease has not only taken it’s toll on his poor body but has caused him to have server dementia as well at this point he doesn’t even know what year it is or what is going on most of the time. He struggles to remember what happened 15 minutes ago but we have kept him at home with us this whole time even now that he is on hospice so he can be with his children and myself in his final days. We are looking to raise money to do a cremation and a small service with the children and myself and close family. Most friends have long disappeared it seems death scares people and they vanish in times like this which is sad. Life has definitely changed these last few years with the struggles of caring for him full time as he can barely walk and has become mostly blind. Between his disability and the dementia it has really been hard as he needed 24 hour full time care and I have done my best to take care of him until the end. The kids are going to miss their dad as I will miss my husband tremendously but we do realize Patrick is going to a better place where he doesn’t have to suffer and can rest now thank you for taking the time to hear our story !!!!!
