Hello, my name is Andrea Coaxum of Charleston, SC and I am writing this with the heaviest of hearts. I woke up Friday May 19th last seeing my 28 yr old son, Davon the previous night with expectations to have him over for dinner the next day,  to find out during the lunch hour that day he was murdered by multiple gunshots out in broad daylight in a vicinity full of children. 
He was living his life fully as a young independent plumber intern giving back to the community that he has  made many attempts to survive. 
The grieving process is fresh, raw, and real. My other children lost their eldest brother and many others are feeling the affects of the friend they lost by someone who was taken from us too soon due to a senseless, cowardless act of violence.
As we await the release of Davon's body to me & my loving family, we are looking to raise funds in order to pay for his homegoing services & any unforseen final expenses. If you can find it in your heart to donate, I would be eternally grateful. I lost my oldest son and have never endured such pain as a mother. Thank you in advance for any and all help in my family's time of need and for respecting this time of grief. There will be a last respects & final viewing @ Hilton's Mortuary located 1852 East Montague Ave. North Charleston, SC 29405 on Thursday, May 25th & Funeral services will be on Friday, May 26th @ Greater Goodwill AME Church  located 2818 Hwy.17 N Mt. Pleasant, SC @ 11am
