Help Lia fight CANCER!

Sweet 16, full of life, so much to look forward to, so much to achieve… But for Lia, everything is put on hold.

Lia is the oldest and only daughter of Vladimir and Anna Beregovoy. A wonderful sister to Nathaniel, Levi and Jonah. A beautiful new member of her church, part of a strong youth and friends’ group. Lia gave her life to the Lord through baptism at the beginning of her 16th year. Lia was absolutely on the right track. But her whole world was turned upside down.

On October 21, 2022, Lia went to the emergency room because her throat was swollen and her airway became blocked. Upon examination, she was immediately admitted to ICU and had surgery for biopsy and tumor/growth removal in her throat. On Oct. 23, 2022, the family was given Lia’s horrifying diagnosis. CANCER. Embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma stage 3-4 has already metastasized into the lymph system and lungs.

The location of it is really rare and dangerous because when the tumor grows, it blocks Lia’s airway.

Lia is terrified. Her entire young adult life is on pause now. No school, no regular activities. Just hospitals, labs, treatments and lots of uncertainty.

Her parents and family are in a chaotic state of mind. They are scrambling to find the best treatment, with time working against them.

Unfortunately, the treatments Lia needs are not all covered by insurance. THEY NEED OUR HELP!

They are not alone; their family exceeds further beyond just the 6 of them. We are here to help this beautiful 16-year-old to fight off this cancer! To heal and strengthen her young body so that she may beat this and live to tell others about God’s mercy.
