My name is Edward Duran and I am starting this fundraiser for my childhood friend and family friend Victor Cardenas. Victor Cardenas was a caring individual who was often misunderstood but when you gained his trust he was a diehard friend. He loved to be around people and always made sure everyone was happy and taken care of. In his free time, he liked to play guitar and be with his family when he wasn't feeling ill or bedridden.

On March 13th (Victor's birthday) Victor was found unconscious and not breathing around 10 PM and after several unsuccessful attempts to resuscitate him the Paramedics failed to bring him back multiple times on the ride to the hospital where he was placed on life support for four days when he became fully brain dead and finally pronounce Dead on March 17th.

His death has brought enormous Emotional stress and Financial hardship on his family. His parents are hard-working immigrants from El Salvador and Mexico who have given their family everything and have lived paycheck to paycheck for many decades. Victor was a paraplegic and taken care of by his senior parents, his father was forced into early retirement to make sure he was being taken care of properly. Insurance only covers so much of the medical bills and already they are acquiring a Huge Medical debt and that's not even accounting for the funeral and other costs that have yet to materialize.

I'm starting this fundraiser because they are in great mourning and unsure of how to do this themselves. Any amount would be greatly appreciated and even if the target goal is not hit it will greatly help a family from even worse Economic Hardship.
