Russell’s Road To Recovery

Please help in supporting the Domicoli family during this time of hardship.

Russell Domicoli, 48 years old, loving father of three - Russell Jr., Nicholas and Christian Domicoli, and loving husband to Sharon Domicoli suffered a massive stroke in the basilar artery, Wednesday September 4th, which led to Locked in Syndrome (LIS).  Locked in Syndrome  (LIS) is a condition in which a patient is aware but cannot move or communicate verbally due to complete paralysis of nearly all voluntary muscles in the body except for vertical eye movements and blinking. Russell has lost the ability  to chew, swallow, breathe, speak, or produce any movements other than those involving the eyes or eyelids.  Russell will now be bedridden and completely reliant on caregivers. Despite physical paralysis, cognitive function is unaffected.

With that being said, Russell is conscious and awake and will be going through extreme physically therapy. With the support of his wife, three sons, family and friends we are hopeful and are praying for a miracle.

The Domicoli family is no stranger to hardship. Russell and Sharon have a special needs son, Christian, which Russell was the soul provider for. Sharon was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2017 and has been recovering from a double mastectomy.

Unfortunately, Russell and Sharon just purchased a new family home that Russell was renovating himself which he is now unable to complete and take care of the financial upkeep and responsibilities.
