Each morning you hope to wake up to the sun shining and a good day to follow. On Friday morning May 8th, 2015 that was not to be for our youngest brother Dana, his wife Rebecca, their three beautiful children Madison, Colby, Brody, their dog Milo and two kitties Tory and Taz.
The family was sleeping. Rebecca woke up to the smell of smoke, saw a red glow in the basement and yelled fire! The fire department arrived and started working. They thought the fire was out and things were under control but that was not the case. It had spread up the wall and was now in the attic. They called for more help, cut a hole in the roof. The water then caused the ceiling in the kitchen to collapse.
We are so very thankful that Dana, Rebecca, the kids and Milo had made it out safely but they were unable to save their precious little kitties Tory and Taz. In a matter of only a few hours they were left with just the clothes on their backs and the extreme sadness at the loss of their kitties.
It’s times like these when we turn to family, friends and even strangers for help. Anything you could do would be so appreciated.
