Melissa Crabtree is an extraordinary musician and songwriter, whitewater river and ocean kayak guide, and beloved friend and sister to many. She has experienced severe physical and emotional health challenges the last few years and is now a missing person.

It was first feared she might have jumped from the bridge over the Rio Grand gorge near her home of Taos, New Mexico in February, as her car was towed away from the bridge February 13, and her brother Peter and other friends regularly in contact with Melissa have not heard from her since.

However, during the subsequent search for Melissa information has positively come to light that she has been seen and talked to by several folks in the Taos area in recent weeks. She is not in good health and has sometimes been homeless and we are ramping up the search for her that she might receive the love and care she desperately needs.

We hope to raise funds to help in the search and to care for Melissa once she’s found.
