Our family dog Gamo was viciously attacked while getting ready to walk him right in front of our house. The attack took place on May 8, 2015.. The dog is a German Shepherd that bombarded into our house and living room attacking our dog before I could close the door to avoid the attack. The German Shepherd immediately started to attack him and didn't want to let go. He was shaking our dog back and forth while in his mouth. My dog is a small you dog and the German Shepherd is at least 150 lbs. our dog weighs 9lbs. My son witnessed the vicious attack and could not do anything. My husband took charged and after a long struggle my husband and I was able to get Gamo out of the German Shepherd mouth. My husband was also attacked by the dog during the struggle. This has caused emotional stress for us. The attack has caused Gamo to need emergency surgery that we can not afford. We were able to rush Gamo to the vet and they were able to stablize him. He has 3 wounds (wholes on his back, on his chest, and under his right arm pit.) Due to the impact his right leg is fractured. If surgery is not performed the vet indicated it can lead to infection and possibly amputation. The vet bill to stablize him was $550 alone. Now the surgery he needs is $2200 which doesn't include any follow up appointments. Please find it in your heart to help us save our family dog. He's not just a dog, he is our family. We have had him since he was 9weeks old. No amount is ever too small. We appreciate everyone that is willing to help and donates. We thank you in advance.
