Don’t Feed Your Pets Weird Stuff is a wildly funny, poetic story meant to help children learn about the dangers of feeding their pets strange things. The story is told from the perspective of a child who knows all too well the consequences of feeding pets, particularly gerbils, improper foods. And he doesn’t want to see other children make the same mistake.

Each page delivers playfully educational examples of the many consequences that can occur when pets digest unusual, often indigestible objects. Not to mention some sage advice on how to prevent cones, suppositories, and costly trips to the vet.

Along the way, kids will laugh and learn a valuable lesson about how to properly care for the animals they love, like maybe no longer feeding them everything they love.
So whether your child has a St. Bernard or a little hamster named Joanne, page by page they'll quickly see for themselves why indulging their furry friends is a fundamental no-no.

Caring for a sick pet is always a heartbreaking experience. And over the past few years I’ve heard many stories from friends, family and colleagues whose children at one time or another have gotten their dogs, cats, guinea pigs, bunnies, turtles, ferrets and even snakes into medical trouble after innocently feeding them everything but proper pet food.
I love pets of all kinds, especially when they’re happy and healthy, so I decided to write a children’s book that will hopefully help kids everywhere learn that if their pet’s picture isn’t on it, it probably isn't pet food.

"Don’t Feed Your Pets Weird Stuff” is a masterfully designed, linen wrapped, foil stamped, dust jacketed, hardcover book filled with well-crafted poetic copy and beautiful gouache painted illustrations. It's the kind of book you'll want to read time and time again.
