The talk is about health, and it is the basis of FinTech startup GloryHealthCare which has developed an innovative closed-loop payment system for earmarked home transfers for medical purposes. The idea creator of GloryHealthCare has witnessed it in her own family: sick family members are regularly supported with home remittances without the family knowing if and when the money arrives and how it is used.

That's where GloryHealthCare's innovative digital solution steps in. Our payment system works through a credit card that can be used exclusively in institutions for medical purposes, providing security to family members in Germany and the diaspora. The solution is based on the principle of a simple, closed transaction platform that can make a real social contribution: The secure, simple, and innovative system is attractive to both the sender in Germany and the recipient in Ghana, our country of entry.

Senders transmit a remittance to their home country in exchange for transaction fees and can ensure that the funds can be redeemed for medical purposes. Recipients benefit from a closed health system and cannot put unexpected costs and concerns above their health.

In the long term, the founding team wants to look at other target markets and establish the implementation of COMESO there. Depending on the digital status, flexible measures will be necessary to adapt to the target group. Three institutions were already successfully trained with the prototype during our first testing. The first 300 customers were generated within nine days with the COMESO credit cards in Ghana and paid with the service. In the background, a database is used to document the payouts of the voucher cards to confirm readiness for use.

The team's goal is to ensure earmarked home remittances for health, thus achieving a high social impact. COMESO has now arrived in the target country, and it is clear that pursuing a mission often means taking an increased risk.
