John Michael’s Medical Fundraiser
Donation protected
We are reaching out to you today with an urgent request for help. John, a bright and spirited 12-year-old boy, is facing a critical health challenge that requires immediate medical attention.
John has been diagnosed with Slipped Capital Femoral Epiphysis (SCFE), a condition where the ball at the head of the femur slips off in a backward direction due to weakness at the growth plate. This painful condition has significantly limited John’s mobility and causes discomfort. John needs surgery to correct this condition, and the procedure is not available on Guam. He and his mother, Tesa, must travel off-island to a Shriners Children’s Hospital at Honolulu, Hawaii, where the surgery can be performed.
While Medicaid has been able to cover some of the travel and medical costs, there are still substantial expenses that are not included in the referral. These additional costs include medical care, lodging, meals, and other out-of-pocket expenses during their stay away from home.
Your support will not only help alleviate the financial stress but also give John the chance to strive for a healthy and active life. We are deeply grateful for any contribution you can make.
Please consider donating and sharing John’s story with your friends, family, and social networks. Together, we can help John get the surgery he urgently needs and support Tesa and her family during this challenging time.
Dankulo Na Si Yu’os Ma’åse for your kindness and generosity.
With heartfelt gratitude, Family and Friends of John Michael
