Hello,
I am Michael, Deborahs husband. We are trying to raise money to help with the medical bills we have acquired over last year. I have kept up with most of the bills for about the last 22 years but the last year was really bad and her medical blls have been piling up. I have had to take a lot of time off of work to help with her medical care which has caused us to fall way behind on everything.
I am trying to raise money to help with my wifes medical expenses. She has been Diabetic since the age of 10. She started having medical issues about 4 years after we got married. She had congestive heart failure in 1995, a quadruple bypass in 1996, she was having issues with kidney prior to heart surgery and was on diaylsis after the heart surgery for 6 months then had to have a kidney transplant in 97, a pancreas tranplant in 98. The pancreas stopped working 6 years after transplant and had to be removed a few years after it stopped working due to complications and at that time they did a fermoral artery bypass. In 2010 she had a traumatic brian injury after falling down the stairs. She could not walk, read or speak for about 2 months and it took about 6 months to get back to somewhat normal. She recovered and is able to function normally now, she has some hearing issues, short term memory issues and difficulty reading still. Last year she had an eye infection which took 3 months to heal. Then in September she started feeling sick again and in December she was admitted to hospital again for congestive heart failure due to A fib, she is on medication now to help prevent a stroke or blood clots due to A fib.
Now I am starting this years deductible which is 12,000 then the insurance does 80%. We spend alot in prescriptions, Dr's visits for her Kidney dr, Carido dr's (1 for femoral bypass, 1 for her heart), Eye specialists, transplant dr's, family dr. I have kept up on everything but it is to the point right now where I can't do it myself anymore.
She feels that are financial issues are all her fault which really put a lot of pressure on her. She has been fragile since her head injury and I try not to let her know what is going on with everything becuase it makes her feel worse. She is tired of fighting and tired of Dr's. She is under a great deal of stress which put me under even more stress.
Any help that you could give would be appreciated greatly. It would help a great deal to elivate some of the stress we are both under.
