Starr is Almost to the Finish Line

My name is Jeff and I’m Starr’s father. In August 2023, Starr was hospitalized and diagnosed with end stage liver failure: Just three weeks shy after the death of my wife, Starr’s mother; who was lost to the same disease.

After being hospitalized with variceal hemorrhage due to portal hypertension in January 2024, Starr received an expedited referral to Cleveland Clinic for transplant evaluation. 

Proudly, Starr has met all physical requirements set out by her transplant coordinator and was sent before the transplant board for consideration in July 2024.

Proceeds will go toward relocation and transportation from Tom’s River, NJ; Morgantown, WV; and ultimately, Cleveland, Ohio.

Starr has requested the remaining proceeds to be held for emergency funeral arrangements in the worst-case scenario.

Starr has also asked to post pictures of her in her costumes: a nod to her lifelong passion for Dungeons and Dragons, role playing, costume making ‘cosplay’, and video games.
