Triini's Estonian Home-Improvement

CAMPAIGN ENDS JUNE 10TH, 2015!

Help us raise money to build a bathroom in Triini's mother's house in Estonia.

My roommate and dear friend, Triini grew up in a humble farm house in the outskirts of Tallinn, Estonia. 

One day in 2007, when Triini was living and working in Greece, her mother returned home to find the kitchen and bathroom engulfed in flames. What the fire didnt destroy, the water from putting out the fire did. Triini's mom, Sirje, put no time to waste and singlehandedly rebuilt the kitchen - as best she could.

A few months later, a TV crew showed up at Sirje's doorstep. They were part of an Estonian home-improvement TV show that had selected Sirje's home to restore. They got down to work and fully rebuilt the kitchen - the burnt bathroom was left untouched. 

Sirje was surprised because she had not submitted any request. The TV host said the entry came in from Greece. ;)

Flashforward to 2014, Triini tells me that her mother has cancer. Cancer is always a tricky battle, and no one knows for certain how this struggle will end. Until that day comes, Triini has set out to make her mom's life as comfortable as possible - and that means, building a bathroom inside her home.

Triini will be returning to Estonia this Summer, and the construction will happen then. Friends and family acquaitances in Estonia will help with the actual building, but we need funds to purchase the materials. Please help us by donating money here.
