We were saddened to learn our dear friend, Elizabeth Morino must endure the battle of cancer once again.
As most of you know, Elizabeth defeated colon cancer in 2021, and unfortunately after a follow up appointment with her oncologist he discovered tumors in both of her lungs.
The discovery of these tumors lead to her diagnosis of Stage 4 Lung cancer.
No doubt Elizabeth's course of treatment will be a challenge in itself, but the biggest challenge right now is the limitations with her health care insurance.
Elizabeth’s Oncologist has referred her to STANFORD for the best treatment possible and unbeknownst to him, that treatment is not covered under her insurance.
Elizabeth absolutely loves and trust her Doctor, and he has determined she is a candidate to have most of her tumors removed and the smaller ones treated with some radiation, and/or a combo of radiation and chemo after the surgery.
Without this surgery, Elizabeth's treatment will be more aggressive with only radiation and chemo, and likely not as successful as the surgery by removing the tumors.
Since her insurance will not cover the surgery, we would love to be able to give her the opportunity for the best treatment so she can get back to the things she loves most and continues to fight for.
Her beautiful daughters Liliana & Olivia (23 & 24), her fur babies, her extended family and the love of her Boutique, FINE THINGS in Arnold, California, which she struggled to keep open during the Pandemic.
As most of you know, Elizabeth has always been a caregiver in more ways than one her entire adult life. She was a PARAMEDIC over 20 years, and moved on to be a PHLEBOTOMIST to continue taking care of people.
She is always compassionate and caring towards others in time of need and right now she needs all of us to get her to the finish line of the best treatment for her diagnosis.
