Support For Scott

Hi, my name is McKall Leishman. I am Scott Leishman's oldest daughter and started this GoFundMe for my dad to help him stay on top of bills and expenses while recovering in the hospital.

On Decemeber 28th, Scott began to feel ill. January 3rd, he went to the doctor and was told he had pnemonia and went home to recover. January 8th, in the early morning, Scott fainted, and his girlfriend Brannon took him to the ER, where he was diagnosed with COVID pneumonia and admitted to the ICU with an O2 sat of 64. After two days of high flow oxygen, he was moved out of ICU to a regular room. Unfortunately, he suffered a stroke sometime during the night. Scott was then transferred to McKay Dee and admitted to the ICU where he is currently still staying. The progress has been slow, and we have been told that it's good he is progressing slower as it makes for a better outcome. As of today 1/17/22, Scott is still pretty sedated as they are allowing the clot in the brain to do some self-healing. The hospital staff has continuously attempted to put in a feeding tube which has still not been successful. There is little to no communication with him; however, he has been able to say a few phrases and let us know he loves us and he doesn't feel well or is hungry. Scott will need extensive physical and speech therapy when the time comes.

We appreciate the outpouring of love that we have already received for Scott, and he will be so humbled to see all of the love and support surrounding him as he continues to push through this tough part of his life.
