Helping Ben Heal

Hello, my name is Molly and I am setting up this fundraiser on behalf of my brother, Ben Vredevelt, and his fiancee Sarah. Many of you know that Ben suffered 2 strokes early Monday 8/2 after his BP rose to 280/140. He is in kidney failure and the stroke has affected his ability to swallow, his balance and he possibly has some cognitive/memory issues. He has been in the ICU and is starting dialysis. He will also need therapy and rehabilitation to re-learn how to eat and drink and will need to work on walking. Ben and Sarah live a pretty simple lifestyle and he is already worried about how to pay bills. Ben owns his own business and he is unable to work while he is recovering. Sarah was scheduled to begin a new job last week but has to put it on hold to take care of Ben. She will be starting soon, but she needs Ben to concentrate on his recovery. Ben will need weeks to months of inpatient rehabilitation after he leaves the hospital, and will most likely need a kidney transplant in the future. This fundraiser will allow both Ben and Sarah to focus on healing and caregiving while covering Ben's lost income for 4-5 months. Please share this and thank you so much for any support. ❤️
