My name is Mary Greene. My husband and I have 10 children ranging in age from 14 down to 1.
On April 12, 2014, my husband, Jason, was on a Saturday morning group bicycle ride. On mile 28 of 30 he hit the wheel of the guy in front of him going 30 mph and down they both went. The other guy had road rash and Jason sustained a traumatic brain injury (TBI). He was not expected to live.
After Jason spent time in ICU, then step down units, then finally at Craig Rehabilitation Hospital in Colorado, he has miraculously been able to recover most of the necessities of life - eating, walking, talking, household tasks, thinking and processing...just about everything. Well, almost everything.
Jason would love to get to the point of being provider for his family again. He is so incredibly motivated to do so! He has come so far with all of the different therapies he has received. His wishes were to be able to drive again, to do home repairs and many other things. He has achieved all of his goals except to be able to go back to work. This, of course, is crucial since he has 10 children to support.
Jason has an opportunity to receive some intensive therapy (Neurological Reorganization - NR) that has an excellent track record of bringing people like him, back to what he was before his accident. He should start seeing some of the benefits of this therapy very quickly, however, the full program will likely take about two years.

The cost of this program will run about $5,000, which is amazing for the results it will yield. Jason will have about two hours of therapy to do at home every single day. He is very excited about starting this therapy and is fully commited to do whatever it takes to be able to get back to work!
