Help Duane and his family

Hi,

My name is Nancy Summers, I am asking for donations for Duane (Lefty) Sterling. He was in a horrible wreck at the Downs at Albuquerque on Sept. 24th. He was coming up the inside at the 1/8th pole when another horse veered in and dropped him, and then a trailing horse ran over him. He was in UNM hospital for 7 days. He has 2 broken vertebrae's, 7 broken ribs, and head injury, resulting in bleeding on the brain. He has lost a lot of memory. Dr's say it will be a few months before he can do anything. Race riding was in his family, his blood, and was his life. He has been my friend for a long time. He has been my main jockey and helped me out at the barn for years. I don't think he ever missed a day, or was late one time. He is married to Ann Sterling, they have 4 children and 2 grandchildren. It will be a very slow recovery and any help for him and his family will be greatly appreciated.
