My name is Ashley, and I am hoping to raise money to cover medical costs for my cat, Tinkerbell. Tink goes by many names—Tinky, Tinky Winky, Tink a Link, the list could go on—but most importantly, she’s one of my best friends. She has been a loving and devoted companion since she came into our family at just 8 weeks old. Tink had the privilege of living with my dad (if you own cats you know that you actually live in THEIR house) for 12 years, which is so special to me because I lost my dad the summer of 2024 to cancer. Tink has not only been my best friend, but a living reminder of my dad who makes me smile literally every day.

Tink has been dealing with a chronic ear infection that is a result of an unknown issue with her eardrum. Unfortunately, the infection is no longer responding to medication, and now our only option to preserve her quality of life is a surgery known as a TECA w/BO (Total ear canal ablation with bulla osteotomy). That’s a long-winded way of saying she needs her entire ear canal removed. This is a major surgery, especially for a 15-year-old cat, but I would do anything to help my precious girl live comfortably for as many more years as possible. Before even being considered for surgery, she will need to get a CT scan which could be $2,000-$2,500. If she is a candidate for surgery, the estimated cost could be around $5,000.

I have been working as a Veterinary Technician for 7 years now. I support pet parents through some of the hardest times in their pets’ lives. Now, Tink and I need that same support.

Thank you for reading about my beloved Tinkerbell. ❤️
