My name is Jennifer Brunick and I created this Go Fund Me for my brother in law Rich, his life partner Amy, and his two children, Keoni & Emma. Unfortunately after struggling with pancreatic cancer, Rich is losing his bravely fought battle. They were told he only has a couple of days left with us. Amy and his children are focusing on being near him during this very brief time. I want her to have these last moments without worry, but I know that the amount of time Amy has had to take off work is, and will be, a financial hardship. She has been overwhelmed with offers of help and is so grateful for that. I offered to create this page so she can just focus on Rich and her kiddos right now. Any money donated would go to living expenses, bills, and the funeral.

I’ve dreaded writing this posting for months now. I have thought about what I would say but it never seemed good enough or that it was time to share. Well today is that day; Rich’s amazing cancer prognosis from earlier this year was shattered in August after 6 months of “preventative” chemo his PET scan showed that his pancreatic cancer had metastasized to his liver and bone. Within the blink of an eye, our great hope of beating pancreatic cancer was no longer an option. We started back on a heavy regime of chemo and as of yesterday, Rich is now in the ICU fighting sepsis and liver failure. His team feels that we now have only days left. I cant even begin to put into words the numbness and sadness I am feeling. I told him last night which I thought was going to be the worst conversation of my life…until I had to tell our kiddos Keoni and Emma that their dad had days to live. I am trying to process all this still but wanted to come on here to let you all know. Please keep Rich and our family in your thoughts and prayers and remember tomorrow is not promised, love your people today ❤️
