As some of you would already know, our much-loved colleague and friend, Lee Pratt has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
Lee, Steph and family have felt the love and support from our community at Pacific Hills and from others in their personal world.
Lee has now endured 3 rounds of chemotherapy, the first of which did not bring any change to Lee’s bone marrow, so they started him on another more intense dose of chemo which thankfully after 3 weeks of recovery, blood tests came back showing normal levels of blood cells and neutrophils.
Lee was release from hospital and spent some time at home recovering, but the journey continues for our dear friend, with the road ahead being further treatment including a Bone Marrow Transplant in early 2024.
Lee’s brother, Reid Pratt, will arrive in Australia on 2 January and will be here for 3 weeks to be his Bone Marrow Transplant Donor. I can’t help but consider how Jesus-like this action is by Reid to leave his own family and travel at great cost and sacrifice to himself and offer his blood and body to help Lee. Wow!.
Our thoughts and prayers are with the Pratt family during this season and with Reid and his family. Please pray for Lee and his treatment, for Reid and his family, along with Steph and the girls.
This Go Fund Me has been set up to assist practically. We would like to ask for contributions to both families during this time to support Reid, selflessly travelling from the US to Australia for Lee’s treatment and also for the Pratt family who have had to endure a very challenging season of uncertainty.
God bless you,
