Brain tumour research

This is Henry.

He’s 5 years old and battling with a brain tumour for the 2nd time in his little life

.Henry was originally diagnosed with grade 4 medulloblastoma in February 2021 when he was just two years old. He underwent 8 hour brain surgery followed by 6 months of inpatient high dose chemotherapy at Great Ormond Street Hospital. He then travelled to Germany for Proton Beam radiation to his whole brain and spine at just 3 years of age. This fortunately cured him and he went into remission the week before Christmas 2021.

He was given 21 months free of cancer before it sadly returned in two different areas of his brain than the first time in July this year. His chance of survival is now a mere 5%. Brain Tumour Research may not be able to save Henry’s life right now but with more funding, medical advances can be made to save other children, just like Henry who are diagnosed with the same awful disease in the future.

I have the greatest pleasure in knowing Henry and his family and I wanted to do something in his honour to raise awareness, support and a little money.

On Saturday 11th November I will be abseiling down the ArcelorMittal Orbit at the Olympic Park in London.
