Adam's house fire fund

My cousin, Adam, who lives in Montrose, CO, had a fire last weekend at the house where he lived and rented a room. The house burned to the ground and he lost almost everything. He was able to get his dog and retrieve his phone and charger and had his car parked far enough away from the house that it is fine. Adam woke up during the night to discover the fire on a deck of the second floor above where his room was. Apparently one of the residents had been using an outdoor grill and many hours later the grill still had live sparks that ignited the house. He was able to alert everyone else in the house that the house was on fire and all 11 occupants were able to get out safely. My family and I are so thankful to God that all the lives were saved even though the house and contents were destroyed.

Adam is a high school English teacher. He aspires to share his love of books and English with his students and is a favorite of many students. He also coaches soccer and rock climbing. He loves books and reading and also thrives on outdoor activities such as biking, running, climbing, snowboarding, camping, etc. He and his dog are known for taking off and traveling throughout Colorado and the western states exploring and camping. Adam has participated in several triathlons and was looking forward to racing in the upcoming Ironman competition in his area, which is a triathlon of swimming, running and biking. Unfortunately, Adam lost all of his possessions in the fire, including his bikes, wetsuit, snowboarding equipment, climbing gear, coats, clothes, computer and extensive book collection. Adam is a man that needs very little to be happy, but he does thrive on the outdoor adventures he is able to participate in.
