Marie vs Cancer ••• Round 5

This is 72 year old Marie Bamper. She is a mom, adopted mom, grandma, sister, daughter, and widow. She is always warm, loving and kind to everyone. To know her is to love her. Marie has always been a giver, whether it is a helping hand with a project or a meal for your friends-aunts-sisters-uncle, she is always ready willing and able to help, asking for nothing in return.

Marie is a 4 time cancer survivor. She was first diagnosed at the age of 36 with colon cancer. Since then she has survived 3 other cancers, colon (again), breast and bile duct. And on 04/16/16, Marie was diagnosed with breast cancer again. She is taking this fight head on, not wasting anytime to have the breast surgically removed on 04/20/16.

The reason we are starting this fund raiser is because Marie had planned to move to a more affordable place within the next 2 to 3 months. This has been put on hold, since following her surgery she will have chemotherapy and possibly radiation. Unfortunately, she cannot afford her current home since she can not work her part-time job and she has aged out of disability.

The money gifted will go towards her rent and bills so that she and her granddaughter can stay in their home until Marie is well enough to move.
