While many kids in our community know that there will be food on the table when they come home from school, many children in the broader community are not as fortunate. But thankfully, kids who participate in the free and reduced-prices school lunch program are provided with reduced meals on the weekdays. But on the weekends, when there is no school, the kids are not guaranteed food to keep them full for the three days off and sometimes return to school sick and unable to focus. CFA provides filling and easy to prepare snacks for these kids over the weekend. Although, CFA helps these children out, unfortunately, they are running low on resources that seem small to us, but is life changing for others. With the money we raise we will make snack packs these children for over the weekend so they can come to school ready to learn. For $4.50 you can send a one child home with a weekend snack pack. Hopefully we will be able to provide many kids with these snack packs to brighten their weekend and improve their lives.
