This GoFundMe page is being established to assist with the medical/therapy costs of Vanessa Lancellotti, wife of James Lancellotti, SPP Class of 2011. Vanessa suffers from Arteriovenous malformation, which simply put is an abnormal connection of veins and arteries in the brain. As a result of this condition, these weakened blood vessels swelled and burst causing bleeding into the brain. On February, 8, Vanessa had brain surgery at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, PA. Her surgeon stated that the operation was successful, however the doctors are still in the assessment phase of determining the amount of trauma to the brain. The family is looking at a lengthy recovery, including speech, physical and other types of therapy.
James Lancellotti is a former wrestler and football player at SPP and as a result is part of our extended family. The War Dog Athletic Club is teaming with Debbie, James’ mom, to assist in trying to alleviate some of the costs that the Lancellotti’s will be facing in the near future.
For those of you who don’t know, the War Dog Athletic Club, is a 501(c)(3) not for profit organization, established by the wrestling alumni and friends of SPP. When we heard the news of Vanessa and James’ situation, we decided we wanted to help.
