Our friend Kim was diagnosed with DCIS breast cancer this spring. She is a single mother and small business owner who has been hit hard financially by the pandemic. Kim is a healer who spreads love to everyone she touches. She does not pause to give aid to those in need. Please help us to raise funds to support her in her recovery.Kim will undergo surgery next month to remove the cancer. Her recovery is expected to take 8-10 weeks this summer provided all goes well and no additional treatment is needed. She will miss another 3 weeks this fall to finish her treatment. As an acupuncturist and massage therapist, her job is hands on and physical. She will be unable to work or earn income during most of this time.
Kim is raising a wonderful eight year old, Lana. She is teaching her to be strong and independent. They grow plants, vegetables, and flowers to contribute to their community. For the holidays, they make handmade cards to distribute at a local nursing home. When there was a shortage of masks available for covid, they collected donations and learned to make masks. They distributed them to doctor’s offices and nursing homes all over the country.
Please, contribute if you can, any amount helps. Please keep Kim and her daughter in your thoughts and prayers. Pass on this link to others who know and love this woman or anyone who might be compelled to help this person who gives so selflessly of herself. We want to raise enough funds to cover her personal and medical expenses during this time. We want to raise enough funds that she will not need to worry about Lana’s welfare during this time. We want to raise enough funds that Kim has the peace of mind to focus on the journey ahead.
To any of you who might live near Kim, please consider contributing your time to help with her garden or animals. Consider preparing a meal for her and Lana. Or just check in on them to make sure that they are doing okay. We thank you in advance for all your consideration and contribution. Let us all shoulder some of this weight so that Kim need not bear it alone.
For Kim and Lana, we thank you,
