The Back Story:
In December Ethan noticed a lump on his collar bone/neck area and had a pre appointment to have a biopsy done. Fast forward to last week, they took a chest X-ray Monday because Ethan also had mild trouble breathing since December. The X-ray showed a mass that is pressing on his trachea. Doctors on island immediately sent Ethan to Boston to have a biopsy and CT scan done. It has now been confirmed based on these procedures that Ethan has stage three Hodgkin’s lymphoma, class A. This type of cancer has a 90% cure rate. Let me repeat that again because it provides some sense of relief. This type of cancer has a 90% cure rate. Ethan is going to live through this cancer. Ethan has already started chemotherapy and received acupuncture while in the hospital. He plans to continue both chemotherapy and alternative healing practices once he gets home.
Where are we now?
Baring all of that in mind it is going to take time (a minimum of 6 months chemotherapy, with pending radiation afterwards) and financial freedom to make choices that are about healing and not about money. It is with this in mind that I ask you to please consider donating to Ethan's campaign. We are asking for funds to go towards acupuncture, hospital copays, travel expenses, and to alleviate any pressure on Ethan about having to work while adjusting to his new normal and trying to heal.
