Jon is an amazing young man who is currently undergoing a heart transplant. I am blessed to call him my cousin and proud to say he's a friend. My daughter is honored enough to be able to call this couragous young man her Godfather.

He was diagnosed with Musclar Dystrophy several years ago and has been on a very difficult road ever since. He inspires me daily because of his amazing spirit and positive outlook. He has always had the best attitude and is looking forward to starting this new chapter of his life. We couldn't be more grateful to the donor and the donor's family. The next 6-8 months will be a huge challenge for him and our family.

My Aunt Sharon will take the next few months off work to stay home and help take care of Jon and take him to all the doctor appointments. My Uncle Jim will be working to help pay for everything while just wanting to be home with his son. It will be very difficult on everyone and will be a huge financial strain.

My cousin Jimmy Mikulski and I are setting up this Heart Fund to help them in any way we can. They don't even know we are doing this but hopefully by the time they do Jon will be out of surgery and living a long healthy life due to a selfless stranger. If there is anything you can contribute trust me when I say it will go a long way in helping this young man get back on his feet literally. There is no amount too small when it comes to this family. We would consider any donation a huge help and we would be forever grateful.

Family is everything and when you've grown up in ours you know how lucky you are to wake up everyday. For Jon tomorrow is a new day and one that comes with a bright future.
