Scoot and swim for the Grenadines hit by hurricane Beryl

Hi my name is Lyle, I am 4 years old and I’m raising money for the little islands of Canouan, Union and Mayreau in St Vincent and the Grenadines. They just got hit by a level 4 hurricane, Beryl. Lots of houses have been destroyed, the islands are a mess. I want to help because my daddy and his family are from St Vincent and mummy and daddy used to live on Canouan. I visited when I was 2 and met lots of their friends. My name actually means “little island” that’s why they chose it!

I am going to scoot, super speed on my scooter from my Nana and Papa’s house to my house until I have gone 10 miles. I am doing 10 miles because that’s the number of miles of each island added up. Canouan 5 sq miles + Union 3.5 sq miles + Mayreau 1.5 sq miles = 10 sq miles. Please sponsor me for doing this so I can get lots of pennies to help the people hit by the hurricane.

My Nana Margaret is going to do a challenge with me to help too. She is a disabled swimmer and she is going to swim the 5 miles of Canouan island in the swimming pool.

Please note: The money donated will go to me (Lyle’s mummy/Margaret’s daughter), Lindsay Joseph. I lived and worked on the island of Canouan for 5 years. It is where I met and married Lyle’s daddy, Kelly. We have many former colleagues and friends still there. I will coordinate with former colleagues and acquaintances on each of the three islands to ensure the funds go to those coordinating relief and recovery efforts on the ground. This will initially be basic necessities and repair work
