On 8/27/18 our dear colleague Deanna Bazar writes about her teenage son Connor on their web journal (https://www.caringbridge.org/visit/connorbazar/journal):
>>Connor is 4 days post injury. ..Connor injured his neck doing a double front tuck at gymnastics. He had surgery on his neck to straighten it out and the surgery went well. Currently Connor has feeling down to his hips and feeling in his arms to his wrists. He will be in Texas Children's Pediatric ICU Legacy for an estimated month. His injury is a long term recovery effort with expectations of 12-18 months to understand his full recovery ability. There will be ups and downs but he is strong and we will attack each day as it comes.<<
As colleagues and friends we are inspired by both Deanna's and Connor's strength and are raising this fund to ease their journey just a little. Rather than reaching out to Deanna (to allow her more time for what is most crucial at this time), please follow Connor's journey to recovery here.
